Slow journalism, made to keep.

SALT is an independent UK lifestyle magazine published from Brighton and London — a quarterly coffee-table edition and a daily editorial site covering fashion, culture, fine dining, travel, music and the makers shaping how we live across the South East and beyond.

Why we exist

Considered, not constant.

SALT was founded for readers tired of doomscrolling — people who still want to know what's new, what's worth a trip, what's worth keeping. We publish four print editions a year, each one designed as a coffee-table object that lives on the shelf for three months. Online, we publish daily on the things our readers actually act on: openings, exhibitions, drops, stays, tables, ideas.

We don't run advertorial dressed as editorial. We don't sell reader data. We work with brands transparently through our partnerships team — and write about the things we'd want to read about anyway.

A small editorial team, a slow publishing rhythm, and a long shelf life — built for the reader who wants substance over speed. — SALT Editorial
