Thursday 24 September 2026 | COMO The Halkin, London
What if the cities we live in could be reimagined as something altogether more surreal?
This September, COMO The Halkin in Belgravia London welcomes Anglo-Brazilian artist Caio Locke for an intimate evening exploring his intricate, dreamlike cityscapes and the ideas behind them.
Locke’s paintings are striking worlds of architecture, colour, history and imagination, often blending multiple perspectives to create cities that feel both familiar and completely otherworldly. His work considers cities not simply as places we inhabit, but as reflections of memory, culture and collective consciousness.
With a career spanning exhibitions at Christie’s, the National Museum of Scotland and the Royal Hospital Chelsea, as well as public commissions including the Fabergé Big Egg Hunt and London Elephant Parade, Locke has developed a distinctive visual language that sits somewhere between meticulous architectural detail and speculative fantasy.
Hosted in collaboration with Eclectic Gallery London, the evening will offer guests the chance to see a selection of Locke’s new and recent paintings, meet the artist and hear him discuss his creative process, inspirations and fascination with the cities we construct — both physically and in our imaginations.
There will also be an informal conversation and Q&A, offering a closer look at the ideas behind his richly layered work, alongside a live painting element.
The setting is equally considered. Tucked away on a quiet Belgravia street, COMO The Halkin’s understated, Milanese-inspired interiors provide an elegant backdrop for an evening centred on art, architecture and imagination.
For anyone fascinated by contemporary art, urban culture or the idea of seeing familiar places through a completely different lens, this promises to be an intriguing evening of conversation and creativity.
